Mama’s Cashews didn’t begin in a boardroom; it began in a travel bag. For years, our mother couldn't bear the thought of her family settling for the dry, brittle, mass-produced cashews found in big cities. To her, a cashew was a symbol of health and heritage.

Every time she visited, she carried a piece of Kerala with her—bags of the finest, creamiest cashews, hand-selected from the local groves she trusted. That "care package" became our standard. We realized that everyone deserves that same level of quality, and Mama’s Cashews was born to share it with the world

We decided to take Mama’s high standards and share them with the world. By combining our professional worlds, we’ve built a bridge between traditional Kerala heritage and modern quality excellence.

As a Data Scientist, Shriram brings a unique, analytical precision to the world of cashew-nuts. He leads the Vision, Marketing, and Business Strategy for Mama’s Cashews. By combining data-driven insights with a deep respect for heritage, Shriram ensures that our brand grows without ever losing its soul, reaching the families who value quality as much as we do.

Laya Gangadharan | Co-Founder 

Laya is the "boots on the ground" and the protector of our product’s integrity. Managing the Sourcing and Supply Chain, she spends her time where it matters most: at the source in Kerala. Laya ensures that every single cashew is ethically sourced, traditionally processed, and hand-selected. If a batch doesn’t meet the "Mama-approved" standard, it doesn't leave the warehouse.
